Now what I liked in regards to the movie, The casting of Sam Elliott as Lee Scoresby was just what the position required. When you see him in the picture, you quickly realize that he is much more that what he seems in the beginning. The casting of Ian McKellen as the voice of Iorek Byrnison, being an armored bear. Now I'd no idea exactly what a bear could do with some serious shield security, but with the speech of Sir Ian, you imagine he will protect the hero of the film. Now I realize that this film is part 1 of a part film, but the first one should have been so much better that what we received. I had said earlier that I had not read the books however but even I could tell that something just wasn't right or was it making sense in the way that it was told in the film, it just seemed like way a lot of holes were in this movie.
