As far as wordpress.com, they're in the same way bad. If the blog  links to your website and looks as if it may be promoting individuals  to head to that website they will lock you from all the content and suspend your account without  warning. 

I'm not certain what they think sites are for, but they seem to think they've a  goal in life and that they alone determine what is a "genuine blog" or not open  site in new window . 

A "genuine blog" is one that  is controlled by the in-patient who writes to it, perhaps not one that  must adhere to somebody else's concept of what their blog should look  like and what it should say. 

If you blog on freehosts just be aware your articles and your blog is in the  hands of others who will choose for the entire world whether your blog should really be seen by others. 

I would recommend all people install their own sites and get  their own domain names. You probably have discovered that  applying a for your companys website is bad for business so just why put your companys blog over a  freehost? 

Exactly the same goes for people. Blogs enable you to express the way to yourself you desire to express yourself. That  is the wonder of blogging. Are you ready to compromise your personality to conform to what  blogger.com or wordpress.com believes is just a way to express yourself?
