With so much interest in how social networks work, one begins to wonder when there is marketing potential within these social networks?

I have been seeing social network for quite a while now. In reality I'm a part of various social media sites including and https://www.linkedin.com only...

There's been a virtual explosion of social network sites previously year or two. Even the people like Google, Yahoo and MSN are receiving into it.

With so much curiosity about how social networks function, one begins to wonder if there is advertising potential within these social networks?

I have been watching social networking for quite a while now. In fact I'm a part of numerous social networking sites including and https://www.linkedin.com merely to name two.

I joined partly because I wished to see what these were, but more importantly to see on SEM what impact social media would have in-the coming years http://rapidseoexpert.com.au .

I have been a member of numerous ser-vices for some time and the reach these sites have is amazing.

For example, from my LinkedIn network of seven people I've an extended network of over 12,600 people.

That is amazing - I am just a click o-r two away from close to 13,000 other people who share my related interests ranging from what I like to watch on TV to work I could give to them.

Through my connections and their connections, I'm related to people starting from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.

But what marketing opportunities exist for Social Networking?

Well, let us examine MySpace.

MySpace is among the prime sites on line today. It racked up 9.4 thousand page-views in August 2005 (more than Google) and new customers are signing up at-a mind-boggling rate of 3.5 million per month.

MySpace is typical of where todays 18-30 year old goes to manage their digital life. It allows users to publish pictures of themselves and their friends, produce a blog, record a common bands, watch and share videos, suggest things to do and lists a couple of people they consider friends. It's on this "Friends List" where a lot of the opportunities lay.

All forty million plus users of MySpace possess a friends site that lists people that person considers their friend. This is a list of people that they're interested in hearing from on an everyday basis, in addition to conversing with and about. Once you put someone as your friend they can send you emails, comment on your images, study your sites, in addition to abandon messages that you can then give the others. That is an opportunity for quick feedback about you.

The capacity to include friends to your page is key for marketing to MySpace consumers. According to Courtney Holt, mind of new media and strategic advertising at Interscope Records, "This technology is growing up without having ever seen developed media. "They do not think in terms of the recording, and they do not think in terms of a TV schedule. They think when it comes to TiVo, P2P, AOL, and obviously MySpace.

You can view how this could grow rapidseoexpert.com.au .

Let us say you develop a MySpace account to share your products or services. You weblog about it and seek out your interests that may be shared by others.

Afterward you ask them to be your friend. When they turn into a friend you begin your "soft sell" selling your product to them.

They start blogging and discussing it, as they grow to appreciate it. Quickly hundreds or even thousand of individuals are talking about you and your product or service.

Do not think this will work?

I'd like to give you some situations. There are many artists who have gotten their start MySpace. Simply by hosting a few of their music on line and blogging about them-selves they developed a following. Soon they'd file deals and contracts lined-up.

Obviously to use services like MySpace you will need to get some thing this marketplace needs. If you don't then you probably shouldn't put a lot of energy in to MySpace.

But that will not mean other social networking opportunities must be overlooked. LinkedIn is more of an expert introduction service, when i mentioned previously. If your products or services fits here then by all means investigate it more.

And you'll find others too. Companies for example Yahoo!s MyWeb, Flickr, and more.

When you have ever wondered what other online opportunities may be on the market, consider social network seo news . It may be the next great website marketing channel.
