You might remember spring cleaning just how I do. Every thing was aired, searched, dusted, cleaned and scrubbed. To-day spring cleaning isnt often done as carefully because it was when I was a child. I recall allowing outdoors in, seeking out any cobwebs that formed during the cold weather, opening all of the windows and cleaning shades and windows. I also remember cleaning everything whether it had been nailed down or not. Spring cleaning was a major undertaking, often requiring many days to accomplish. I really do my spring cleaning still. I search out cobwebs, bring in oxygen, and wash win-dows, curtains and such. Something I dont do today is set slipcovers on all the furniture. I dont know very many individuals who try this any longer. However in a, I miss it. I recall putting fixed slipcovers in light and brilliant colors o-n all the furniture for your summer months. It com-pletely changed the design and feel of the areas. It was a pleasant change. The summertime slipcovers were on the furniture and If the washing was done the complete house felt new and new and clean. Yet another element of spring cleaning was cleaning out things we not required. When we were children, we collected the toys we'd outgrown, garments that no longer fit us, and other things we no longer wanted or needed. I have been thinking about days past the past couple of months. I recently cleansed my garage in expectation of spring cleaning. I was amazed by the total amount of stuff I had gathered. I used to be also somewhat sentimental and amazed about the things my kids had stored inside your home. All this thought about spring cleaning, nevertheless, also makes me think about how important it's for all of us to engage in a little spring cleaning of the soul and heart and head. I dont know if my mother consciously considered other types of cleaning when she attacked the gathered dust of cold temperatures, but I discover that my cleaning and cleaning is a great time to think. I've been using spring cleaning like a time for reflection for several years now. I use that time for reflection to test to do a little spring cleaning of soul, heart and brain. What I mean is this. We gather, and feelings, often nurture and ideas that litter our minds and spirits, making them faded. To get supplementary information, please view at: any clean. I love using that home cleaning time for you to think of and cope with things that I have to free myself of as a way to be happier. We frequently dont understand that deep inside our minds and hearts we still take, and even nurture, old anger or bitterness. We usually dont understand that we're carrying disappointment and shame and various kinds of hurt. I think spring cleaning is the ideal opportunity to think about and free ourselves of those types of thoughts and feelings. I'd challenge you to accomplish a spring cleaning of your mind, heart and soul and like a fresh breeze stimulating your happiness, as you do your spring cleaning this year. While you are scrubbing, think about guilt, anger and old resentments. And concentrate the mind on dealing with them and eliminating the debris they have made. As you search for cobwebs, search out your fears and your worries. By the time you finish your housekeeping, you may also produce an uncluttered and unfettered mind and heart that is ready-to embrace the offer of a better and brighter season.CarpetFirst 78 York Street London W1H 1DP 020 8099 8444
