Sukhumvit Road can be viewed as the "main drag" in Bangkok. A six-lane road, with a divider and an overhead train, it's a tourist's dream or even a tourist's headache.
The street is wall-to-wall suppliers, day and night. You should buy almost anything from clothes, to gifts, to food and drink <a href="http://www.oldepenkazoo.com/">site</a> .
There are many reasonable restaurants along the street featuring Thai, Italian, American, and many other nations' food. And, obviously, you can find tons of food vendors selling their rice, noodles, and soups.
The main touristy area of Sukhumvit runs from Soi 1 to Soi 33. You can travel to go-go bars on Soi 4, alcohol bars on Soi 1, and a variety bars on Soi Cowboy or Soi 33. There are certainly a few expatriate hang-outs in and around Soi 22.
You will also run into the girls of the night time offering their wares and you may even run into some third genderites that may be after your budget. Be careful.
Traveling down some of the area Sois, you can find activities bars, custom shops, numerous accommodations, massage and beauty parlors, and shops of most shapes and sizes.
Getting a massage, manicure, facial and haircut for about $20 67146 is a real bargain. An Italian dinner at Pomodoro's and then down for many adult beverages.
Sukhumvit Road has it all. You can shop, consume, drink and be entertained and get it done all just travelling.
And just off of Sukhumvit Road are two of one of the most popular leisure venues for tourists in Bangkok. On Soi 4 and Sukhumvit is Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP), three stories of bars in a U-shaped arena. Everything from beer bars to go-go's and one on the second floor that is for the gender questioned restaurants .
More up Sukhumvit, between Soi 21 and Soi 23 is Soi Cowboy. This street has existed since the 1970's and serves mainly the expats in the area, but more and more visitors have discovered it. There are various little go-go bars and lots of lovely girls on the street attempting to lure one to come in their club.

Sukhumvit Road isn't for the tame. It is a unique experience but caution has to be taken as it'd in any big city.
