San Diego Beach Hikes Cardiff to Carlsbad

San Diego provides a bevy of interesting walks. Using the average home value being around $500,000, they  better be interesting! 

To relax, I generally stop on my way home from work to rise from  Cardiff to Carlsbad on the beach. For picturesque sunsets and delicious waves, the beach between  Cardiff to Carlsbad cant be beat. 

Cardiff - Starting 

I generally start this walk by parking just south of restaurant line in Cardiff. Restaurant strip is found towards the  north of the lagoon between Solana and Cardiff Beach on Highway 101 v=G5b2gKO4KWo clicky . Parking is located on the side of the road,  that will be right facing the beach. Give ease to me o-r give death to me! 

As you go north, you first pass Charlies and other restaurants. Past the restaurants, you  will come to the beginning of the beach that will be lined by the bluffs to the end of the  walk. San Elijo runs for roughly a mile north and campground is on top of the hills. The campground is very common and the temporary home of people and tourist. You can tell the huge difference by contrasting tans with  sunburns. 

Subsequent San Elijo, you will go through Sea Cliff County Park with hills over 100 feet high. An  area known affectionately as Swamis easily follows this park. The name derives from the fact the place above the bluff is the house for the Self Realization  Fellowship Center. This place is as warm scan  place know, but is very crowded. If you're somewhat winded, you can end and  watch 50 roughly users maneuver for waves. North of Swamis, you will cruise along a long strip of sand hemmed in by 50 to 60 base bluffs in the town of Encinitas. For all those  with an incredible sense of humor, there's a somewhat common sport called,  your house fall Watch. Yes, the hills are giving away  gradually. The houses first lose plants, then porches and so on,  as they erode. They say property is all about location, location, location, but often a beach front home isnt all that good. 

The Encinitas section of the hike is fairly long. Together with the high hills, you will find parts of the beach  that are deserted. Yes, even throughout summer. The thing breaking up the solitude is Moonlight Beach, a fairly popular beach with natives. Usually,  its only you, sportsmen and covers until you reach the end of the bluffs and South Carlsbad. Time for you to discover the car and turn around.
