Sasha Resource

Sasha was created Alexander Coe in Wales in September 1969.

H-e first became aware of the-house music scene in the late 1980s during visits to the popular Hacienda club in Manchester. H-e moved to Manchester to be more involved with the world just like house music exploded in-to the places mind, and started to DJ in a nearby team under the name of Sasha.

His first major break came when h-e was offered a residency at Shellys in Stoke in 1991, and his distinctive style of playing acapellas over critical Italian keyboard house tracks won him many supporters and plaudits. Later that year, he became the very first DJ to feature o-n the cover of Mixmag.

His first production was under the name BM:Ex Appolonia on VC Recordings, a legendary track with several remixes that could commence to define the Sasha model long, fluid, hypnotic paths, with private words and synths swirling in and out of the combination. Sasha was asked to take a residency at Renaissance in 1993 where he proceeded to meet John Digweed. The pair made the very first ever DJ mix CD Renaissance The Mix Collection, a 3 CD epic that covered many of the major tracks they were spinning during the time along with some of their particular productions and remixes.

The pair went on to make the Northern Exposure manufacturer a club night that they would go on to just take on several tours across the place, and also a set of mixture CDs that were made using generation application instead of units a tendency that caught on quickly.

In 1994 Sasha released two singles o-n High Ground and Deconstruction Records Magic. These tracks presented his progressive home sound 303s and outros, pianos, extended intros, and mental vocals.

Sasha formed a friendship with producer BT in 1995 that led to him remixing BTs seminal Embracing The Sunshine and the two co-producing the B-Side of Sashas biggest hit so far the epic Be Together.

Within the sam-e year they also worked together on perhaps one of the best remixes ever the majestic Atraxion Future Mix of Seals Im Alive. This mix contains every thing in its 13 or so minutes enormous develops, large falls, pianos, instruments and a chorus. Its a large favorite only at Used Vinyl.

Sashas production work took a less commercial slant between 1996 and 1998, until in 1999 h-e relieve the four-track Xpander EP, the title track of which included hugely enjoyable and melodic synth parts that brought him a whole new set of fans.

In 2000 h-e teamed-up with Underworld supremo Darren Emerson to record Scorchio, another beneficial synth track that charted in britain.

Sasha is DJing today and still creating, and is still as popular as ever.
