ABSTRACT: The goal of this talk is to give some basics about singular perturbation theory (critical manifolds, contact points, family blow-up, etc.). We focus on 2-dimensional slow-fast systems (one fast and one slow variable) and 3-dimensional systems (1 fast and 2 slow variables).
