Over the past 2 years it seems the state of pro women's wrestling has significantly disintegrated. The WWE suffered a huge loss using the departure of WWE Diva Trish Stratus. Trish Stratus, with no a doubt, was an icon inside the Click Here world of women's wrestling. Trish was arguably the ideal female wrestler to ever grace the squared circle. Now with Trish Stratus removed in the WWE, you can find only a handful of decent female wrestlers left. Amy Dumas aka Lita is one of them wrestlers. Nevertheless, it has been heavily rumored that Lita are going to be retiring from the WWE too. Lita has also immensely toned down her mexican-luchador wrestling style. Nonetheless, if the rumors are correct, the planet of skilled woman's wrestling would be suffering an additional huge loss.

I'd say from 2001-2004, women's wrestling definitely made its way back on the map. The WWE roster contained a lot of good female competitors during this period. I imply you had Jazz, Nora Greenwald (Molly Holly), Gail Kim, Victoria, and not surprisingly Lita & Trish Stratus just to name a few. What credible qualified female wrestlers are left? In TNA, I believe Gail Kim is the only decent female wrestler within the company. Unfortunately, for the most part, Gail has been limited to being a manager. Within the WWE you will discover WWE Divas Victoria, Mickie James, and perhaps Jillian Hall. Victoria has so much wrestling ability, and in my opinion, is the most deserving of holding the WWE Women's Championship. I hear that Beth Pheonix is a genuinely hard worker, and potentially a excellent wrestler. I also hear the same of Melina Perez. Most of the remaining WWE Divas are a bunch of former diva search contestants who mainly make up the T & A factor. Now as a webmaster of a WWE Divas site, I certainly am appreciative of the beauty these women possess. I just feel these woman could and should be used in a more effective way.

It seems that all of the terrific female wrestlers out you will find working within the independent circuit. The WWE and/or TNA could snatch these ladies up whenever they want. The only question that remains is why haven't they done so yet? Nicely, unfortunately, it appears qualified women's wrestling isn't a high priority nowadays. It seems in their eyes, T & A is much more over using the fans than seeing these women wrestle. So I ask you, the wrestling fan, what would you rather see? Is women's wrestling dead? Will it ever be resurrected to the state it was a few years back? The answer lies within the hands of time.
