Opis: | This talk is part of the RandLRAP project workshop and is jointly hosted within the seminar. Stent is a mesh-like and a tube-like structure inserted into vessels to hold them open and allow unrestricted blood flow. There are many available designs of stents which influence on their overall mechanical properties. In this talk we present a very efficient and reliable way of modeling of stents that also allows efficient solutions for optimal design problems. The underlying model for stents' struts that we use is based on the one-dimensional elastic curved rod model resulting in a problem on a graph which gives a stent model which is simple, but rich enough. |
