Opis:In this talk we present a multi-way adaptive method for PDE eigenvalue problems.
A posteriori error estimates for eigenvalues and associated eigenfunctions for both self- and non-self-adjoint problems will be introduced. These estimates take into account an inexact solution of the corresponding algebraic eigenvalue problem.
In our adaptive algorithm we balance the disretization and algebraic error, and introduce the efficient stopping criteria. Additionally, a new approach combining the adaptive finite element method with the homotopy method is introduced to determine the particular eigenvalue of the convection-diffusion problem.
The adaptive homotopy approach derived here emphasizes the need of the multi-way adaptation based on three different errors, the homotopy, the discretization and the iteration error.
