| Opis: | Eigenfunctions of many partial differential operators exhibit a certain rigidity which prevents strong localisation of the eigenfunction. In particular, it cannot have compact support. This can be interpreted as a manifestation of the uncertainty principle. We discuss such problems with an underlying multiscale structure. |
