| Opis: | During last couple of years, as low cost hardware devices become more and more powerful,
new approach in presenting ship structures become feasible. This allowed usage of technologies,
previously reserved for high end simulation systems, to be incorporated into applications running on
mid-range hardware found in shipyards. In this paper alternative approach in data manipulation will be presented,
using stereo 3D extensions to our ShipExplorer system. Experience in developing those extensions will be presented,
as well as problems of computational graphics that had to be solved, including discussion to solutions used to solve them.
The presentation will also include a demonstration of virtual reality aspects (3D glasses will be provided by the presenters) for the exploration of ship structures in 3D.
